The crew of Kurt Vissering, Alex Vitous and Lucas Clifford spent part of their Spring Break in Rockville, IN, competing against teams around the US and Canada as a portion of the AgBot Challenge. This two day event was titled "Hackathon II." They had to give a presentation about the agricultural robot that they are building and how it fits the following objectives: Precision Planting Observation Methods, Weather Data Management, Dock and Load Sensoring, Connectivity and Real-Time Observation, and the overall accuracy of data (storage, analytics and real-time application). There were awards for 1st place in each objective. The team was 2nd in every category but one where they were awarded the top prize. Because of scoring so well in every category they were actually the top scoring team of the day and named the overall winner!
